Cookies

Four things set cookies here: our own kit unlock, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Calendly on the contact page. Analytics is on when you arrive. The banner on your first visit turns it off. Below is every cookie, who sets it, what it does and how long it lasts.
What each one does
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kit unlock | Narsil Creative | Keeps a free kit unlocked for you after you enter an email. Holds a timestamp and a signature, nothing about you. | 1 year |
| _ga and its matching GA4 cookie | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another so page counts are not just raw hits. | Up to 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Remembers a Clarity user id for this browser. | 1 year |
| CLID | Microsoft Clarity | Records the first time Clarity saw this browser on any site that uses it. | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins several page views into one recorded session. | 1 day |
| ANONCHK and MR | Microsoft | Short-lived checks Clarity can set, about whether a browser id is shared with other Microsoft services. | Minutes to days |
| Calendly's own | Calendly | Set by the scheduler embedded on our contact page, which loads for anyone who opens that page. | Set by Calendly |
The third-party names and durations come from Google's and Microsoft's own documentation. Vendors change them without telling us, so if you find one that no longer matches, tell us and we will fix this page.
Your choice
The banner appears once, on your first visit. Analytics is already running when you see it, which is why the banner says so rather than pretending the choice happens first. Turning it off stops Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity loading at all, on that page and every one after, and expires the cookies of theirs that we can reach.
You can change your mind. The privacy page reports which way it is currently set and reopens the choice.
What turning them off cannot do
Two of the cookies above sit on someone else's domain. Clarity's CLID belongs to clarity.ms and Calendly's belong to calendly.com, so no script of ours can delete them. Turning analytics off stops ours being refreshed. It does not reach into theirs. Your browser can, which is the next section.
The Calendly scheduler is not covered by the banner at all. Turning it off would break the page people open in order to book, so it loads for anyone who visits our contact page.
Blocking them yourself
Browser settings can block cookies outright, and extensions can block Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity by name. Either works, and the site works either way: nothing here depends on analytics running.
The rest of it
What we collect beyond cookies, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it is on the privacy page.
